Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Plock

The Płock Convent of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy is the place of the first revelation of the Merciful Jesus to St. Sister Faustina Kowalska, during which she received the order to paint the image with the signature Jesus I trust in you. The event took place on February 22 1931. Here, too, she heard the words of Jesus relating to the establishment of the Feast of Divine Mercy.

From the Diary of St. Faustina

On another occasion the instruction I received was this: “Act in such a way that all those who come in contact with you will go away joyful. Sow happiness about you because you have received much from god; give, the, generously to others. They should take leave of you with their hearts filled with joy, even if they have no more than touched the hem of your garment. Keep well in mind the words I am telling you right now” (Diary 55).
