Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Plock


The Płock Convent of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy is the place of the first revelation of the Merciful Jesus to St. Sister Faustina Kowalska, during which she received the order to paint the image with the signature Jesus I trust in you. The event took place on February 22 1931. Here, too, she heard the words of Jesus relating to the establishment of the Feast of Divine Mercy.

Today Jesus said to me, I desire that you know more profoundly the love that burns in My Heart for souls, and you will understand this when you meditate upon My Passion. Call upon My mercy on behalf of sinners; I desire their salvation (Diary 186).
